Interview is essential and final part of Haryana Civil Services Examination. Usually there are 6-7 areas from where interview questions are asked by panelists in Haryana Civil Services interviews.

Your hobbies, interests, etc.

• What are your hobbies or areas of interest and why? (Most often) 
• What do you do at free time? (Most often) 
• Why we should have hobbies? (Rarely) 

Your personality, ethics, social values

• How do you handle dilemma in life? (Quite common) 
• What is more important - ethics or obeying superiors? (Quite common) 
• What values you admire most and why? (Quite common) 

Your interest towards Haryana Civil Services

• Why do you want to join Haryana Civil Services? (Most often) 
• What do you plan to do after joining Haryana Civil Services? (Most often) 
• What are roles and responsibilities of a Sub-District Magistrate? (Quite common) 
• Tell us your five priorities after joining Haryana Civil Services? (Quite common) 

Your preparedness for Civil Services and situational questions

• What role an NGO can play in district administration? (Most often) 
• How will you seek help from Self Help Groups in districts for people empowerment? (Most often) 
• and various situational questions? (Quite common) 

Questions related to your subjects / optionals

• These are quite common areas. However they do not want to test your theoretical answers because it has already been tested. And you are sitting in front of them means you know your topics. But questions related to your optionals come up just for cross verifications and linkage with socio-economic conditions of the country and their relation to various current events. So be short but specific while responding to them.

Questions related to current events and different socio-economic problems of Haryana ,India and Globe.
• These are very common questions and once prepare them honestly and diligently.
